West Coast drummer Lorca Hart presents his “Bridges Quartet”, playing straight ahead standards rooted in the jazz organ sound while also exploring more contemporary elements with original compositions and composers such as John Scofield and Pat Metheny. Originally from Taos, New Mexico and son of jazz great and drummer Billy Hart, Lorca has established himself with his own crisp propulsive style. His recent album Colors of Jazz has been described as, “a top-notch, post-bop session that swings with fierce conviction” (Andrew Gilbert.) Lorca has performed with Bobby Hutcherson, Ralph Moore, Carmen Lundy, Freddie Hubbard, Stanley Jordan and many more! Lorca Hart – Drums; Brian Ho – Organ; Lyle Link – Sax; Mike Scott – Guitar
