Eric Person has been on the jazz scene since the early 80s. His diverse experiences include performing with such jazz luminaries as Dave Holland, McCoy Tyner, Chico Hamilton, John Hicks, and Wallace Roney. Eric has also performed with genre-bending musicians Vernon Reid, Ronald Shannon Jackson, Will Calhoun, Ben Harper, and Bootsy Collins. His eleven releases under his leadership emphasize his compositional talent, adventurous spirit, versatility, and joyful collaboration.
Houston Person, an iconic and award-winning artist, has been on the jazz scene since the early 60’s. Houston was dubbed “the natural heir to the Boss Tenor crown worn so long and so well by Gene Ammons” by historian Bob Porter. After years as a record producer, house tenor-man for HighNote Records and touring with the late Etta Jones, Houston is now recognized as a master of popular songs. His appearances as a sideman are legion and include recordings with Lena Horne, Lou Rawls, Dakota Staton, Horace Silver, and Joey DeFrancesco.
