The Rodriguez Brothers is co-led by pianist/composer Robert and trumpeter/composer Michael. The band was formed in 2002 and has produced 4 critically acclaimed recordings that have led to worldwide performances. Their last recording Impromptu was nominated for a Grammy for Best Latin Jazz Album and their latest recording Reunited continues to capture the heartbeat of Afro-Latin jazz.
Since their arrival in NYC Robert and Michael have individually collaborated with many notable and legendary jazz artists such as Roy Haynes, Charlie Haden, Ray Barretto, Eddy Palmieri, Arturo Sandoval, David Sanchez, Wynton Marsalis, Joe Locke, Carla Bley, Gonzalo Rubalcaba, Maria Schneider, Harry Connick Jr., Christian McBride, Richard Bona and Quincy Jones and many others. Mike is currently a member of the SFJazz collective.
