Spreading “good vibes” with an afternoon of frenetic delight with 4 vibists!
Back by popular demand, multi-instrumentalist Roger Glenn and friends return to the Bach featuring an evening focused on the magic of the vibes. This year’s presentation will include local legends, millennial, and the first featured female vibist flying in from Seattle. Technology willing…Roger will once again phone in nonagenarian Terry Gibbs for some swinging anecdotes on his storied vibraphone career. The vibists will perform numbers from some of the great vibraphone icons who have inspired them and entertain us with their own selected styles. The band is led by legendary Roger Glenn who has played flute with vibraphonist Cal Tjader, vibes with flautist Herbie Mann and contributed to classic albums by Cuban percussionist Mongo Santamaria.
